COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT THEORY PIAGET and VIGOTSKY



Basic Definition developments in the theory of Piaget.

 
     Jean Piaget, the full name of a psychologist who is famous for his theory of cognitive development. He was born in Switzerland in 1896. Piaget's theory was much influenced by biology and deals with the means.
In Piaget's theory using the notion that many taken directly from biology. For example, in the definition of intelligence worn notions as adaptation, organization, stage, growth and so forth. Many of these notions will be explained further later.
Attention to look at other deals with the means of empirical research on the incidence of understanding or concept of time, space, causality, and awareness of the rules.
Piaget thought that every living organism is born with two fundamental trend, namely the tendency for adaptation and organization.
1) Adaptation, can be described as a tendency every organism to adjust to the environment. The    tendency of this adaptation has two components, namely: assimilation and accommodation.
  Assimilation, which is the tendency of organisms to environmental change to suit himself.
A simple example is a meal in the biological field. When people eat something then the digestion of food does not need to change. What has changed is the food that is the environment factor.
